What should I do if I've been scammed?

Inform the agency where you have found the scammer, giving them all details of the scam and asking to remove this person from their pages.

Report the scam to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center of FBI at http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/. You may want to apply to your local, state or federal enforcement agency with request for assistance, send a complaint to the Embassy of the country where the scammer resides and their Embassy in your country, inform the service provider where the scammer's email account has been registered and contact Western Union fraud department (if you have sent money to a scammer via Western Union).

Nevertheless we should warn you - unfortunately very rarely law enforcement agencies manage to find and punish a swindler and especially it's hard to return the money. Scammers usually use someone else's photos, invented names and get money for the false figures. That is why we once again remind you DO NOT send money unless you make sure that you're dealing with a reliable woman but not with a person who pretends to be someone else.
